Planning a Southern Utah vacation can be a great way of creating awesome family memories. The state is terrific for outdoor lovers and is a very nice place to stay at. So, why would anyone want to come to this state? Below I have listed a few good reasons to visit the state.

1. Beautiful Scenery

The Utah scenery is unbelievable. There is just so much to see at this state. The number one reason Utah is so unique is because of their large rock formations, the delicate arch, double arch, Canyonland needles, and rainbow bridge to name a few are all very amazing and breathtaking structures.

You can find a large number of interesting hikes around breath taking landscapes around any one of the 5 great national parks in Utah. So, be sure you keep your camera with you.

2. Great Fishing

There are a lot of great fishing lakes to choose from. Lake Powell is a terrific spot to both fish and go sightseeing. Fishing at any one of the great Utah lakes can make a great day.

3. Indian Sites

People have inhabited Utah for thousands of years, as a result there are many interesting indian sites. One such example is Fremont Indian State Park which houses many amazing Indian hieroglyphics and is a great place to learn about how these people actually lived.

Hovenweep is even more spectacular as it still contains original stone houses of ancient pueblo people which you can walk up to. These ancient Indian areas allow you to have some fun, while at the same time learn a little bit about life before the white man.

4. Skiing and Snow Boarding

Of course one of the things Utah is known for is their fine powder. The Utah snow is perfect for skiers, snow boarders, and other snow related sports. In the winter time there are many ski resorts to choose from.

You can’t fully appreciate Utah without seeing it for yourselves. The beauty and wounder in the state has sparked the birth of 5 National Parks and set forth millions of torists a year.
